Statement by Alissia Canady on Victory in Democratic Primary for Missouri Lieutenant Governor

Canady: “To the people of Missouri: I hear you loud and clear. It’s time for change”

KANSAS CITY, MO – Alissia Canady has issued the following statement in response to results in the Democratic Primary for Lieutenant Governor of Missouri:

“Missourians have voted for progress.”

“To the people of Missouri: I hear you loud and clear. It’s time for change. To bring an end to gun violence, tackle health disparities head-on and invest in education for all. It’s time we bring smart solutions to protect and rebuild our communities stronger than before the pandemic, and ensure nobody is left behind. And it’s time to reject corruption and restore justice at the highest levels of government in Jefferson City and beyond.”

“In the weeks and months to come, I look forward to bringing this message to every corner of Missouri with Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Nicole Galloway by my side. Thank you for your trust in me – the next chapter of our fight begins now.”
